Pintso's Homestay

This wonderful hidden gem of a property is home to Tenzing and his family, a very traditional Lepcha Family of Dzongu, North Sikkim. Started 6 years back, this is among the first home stays operational in the region and is known for its low tech and ‘reference based’ system.

The central figure in this feature is Tenzing, the owner and local guide himself – a man of endless laughter and an excellent source of indigenous knowledge on forestry, environment and culture! The homestay is located in Sudur, a low lying village of Dzongu, Northern Sikkim and access is via a short uphill walk from the main road.

We do not recommend it for the elderly or for those with any sever joint issues as though the walk is not difficult it can be uncountable for those with such ailments. Surrounded by fruit trees, a large vegetable patch, in house dairy and very much self sufficient in every way, Tenzings home is an excellent getaway from the typical modern humdrum life!
