Activities around the Farm:

Activities such as sightseeing trip to Darjeeling town, short hikes to nearby places, guided village walks, fishing and picnic with locals can be planned. Motor Bikes on Hire for in-house guests are also available.

Day Hike (Majitar Trek): – Majitar is a small border village of Sikkim. A Day Hike from the Farm to the border village of Sikkim named Majitar is a perfect day hike for around 5 hours from the Farm. The trek is a gradual downhill hikes through the valley of Tea Plantations (Tukdah Tea Estate), small Forest Villages, Rungdung River, Glenburn Tea Estate and Reserve Forest Plantation of Teak. Once you arrive at the Majitar village, lunch will be served in a small local restaurant. A return back the farm will be organized by a Taxi, which will take approximately 2 hours through another valley.


Guided Village Walk: – The Farm is part of the community of certified Organic Small Tea Growers and it offers a Guided Village Walk of approximately 4 hours (uphill & downhill hike) through the community of small organic farmers, visit a kindergarten school, interaction with the community & farmers and the lunch will be served at one of the farmer’s house.


Fishing & Picnic with the Locals:- If you are interested to interact with the locals and go for fishing with them, then, a day fishing trip will be your highlight of the trip. Go with the locals on a fishing trip in nearby rivers (Rungdung River & Ghattay River). One should be able to hike up & down through the Himalayan river where you will find trouts and enjoy fishing with the locals. Depending upon the availability of staff, lunch will also be cooked right at the river and served.


The Farm offers a range of activities like a Day trip to Darjeeling city (sightseeing), Sandakphu Trek (5 Days / 7 Days), Motor Bikes on Hire (only for in-house guests).

About the Location

Located at an elevation of 6,700 ft (2,000 m), the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region on the Darjeeling-Jalapahar range that originates in the south from Ghum.
Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak, 8,598 m (28,209 ft) high, is the most prominent mountain visible. In days clear of clouds, Nepal’s Mount Everest, 29,035 ft (8,850 m) high, can be seen.

Due to the varied mix of cultures in Darjeeling, the local and ethnic food of Darjeeling is also quite varied. Beside they have lots of traditional food and cuisine to offer the world.

Darjeeling in particular is very popular for its views of the Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest mountain, and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is noted for its tea industry, the resultant distinctive Darjeeling tea is internationally recognised and ranks among the most popular black teas in the world.

The cold weather adds charm to the trip to Darjeeling where you cannot resisit to have a cup of hot Darjeeling tea or a bowl of Alu Dum Mimi a local delight.

The area is full of traditional stalls or boutique selling everything from clothes, carpets, wooden/bamboo crafts,shoes,bags, jewellery and scarfs to every kind of souvenier you could imagine.

How to Reach

By Air: Darjeeling is 100 kms approximately away from the nearest airport i.e. Bagdogra Airport(IXB). Flights are available from all major cities.It takes one couple of hours to travel from Bagdogra to Darjeeling. On the way you can experience the beauty of the himalayan roads, rivers, hills, tea gardens and Green Valleys.

By Rail: To reach Darjeeling by train, one may opt to reserve the ticket on the Darjeeling Himalayan narrow gauge that connects Darjeeling from New Jalpaiguri. It is one of the most prestigious as well as heritage journey in India. Well, the new Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the closest broad gauge railway station from Darjeeling that connects to all other major cities in India.The toy train for Darjeeling starts at the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) and goes all the way to Darjeeling travelling a distance of 88kms. There are of course short joy rides and other short distance connections. In most part the railway track runs parallel with the Hill Cart Road and at many points even crisscrosses it.The diesel loco hauled train takes about 7 hours 15 minutes to reach its destination.

  • You will receive a payment link along with the confirmation mail. 50% advance payment needs to be made to book the homestay.

  • You will receive a booking confirmation email/sms within 24 hours of successful payment.

  • Full payment for the homestay needs to made 7 days prior to the arrival date.

  • All requests for cancellation has to be sent in writing through email to : contact@ourguest.in.

  • If the guest/s cancel their reservation before 7 Days of Check-In, they will receive 90% of the amount paid, refunded back.

  • If the guest/s cancel their reservation between 7 to 2 Days of Check-In, they will receive 50% of the amount paid, refunded back.

  • If the guest/s cancel their reservation within 1 Days of Check-In, there will be no refund.

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 21 business days.
