It is in this spot where a friendship treaty was signed between Lepcha Chief Tekung Tek and Bhutia Chief Khey Bum Sar. The actual signing spot has also been commemorated by a stone pillar, and this region also features a small Buddhist monastery. Umbrella for rains are a must in monsoons.
