Located 30 minutes from Gangtok city, Kabi is a great alternative for those seeking to stay close to Gangtok yet set in the wilderness. Kabi Lunchok is a tourist hotspot that has a prominent historical significance. It is in this spot where a friendship treaty was signed between Lepcha Chief Tekung Tek and Bhutia Chief Khey Bum Sar. The actual signing spot has also been commemorated by a stone pillar, and this region also features a small Buddhist monastery. Umbrella for rains are a must in monsoons. We also recommend carrying warm woollens for winters and light cotton clothing for summer months.
