Wahrashi Falls is a relatively lesser-known waterfall located in Syntung Village, Meghalaya, India. It is situated in the northeastern state of Meghalaya, known for its lush green landscapes and numerous waterfalls.

Location: Wahrashi Falls is located in the Syntung Village, which is in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. It is surrounded by dense forests and natural beauty. It is a 2.5 hour (63 kms) journey from Shillong
Scenic Beauty: The waterfall is known for its natural beauty and tranquil surroundings. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and lush greenery in the area. The beauty of the cascading waterfall is surreal, with different level allowing you to explore, swim or just watch the falls gush down in all its glory. Apart from the waterfall there is enough space to walk around, find giant rocks to sit on, enjoy a day picnic and have a really good time. Formed over Wah Rashi Kshaid River, the little known Wahrashi Water Falls is a congregation of eight waterfalls. Encircled with cluster of sacred hills, only tier 3 of the waterfall is made accessible to the public. The other levels, although visible, are not accessible.
Accessibility: The path from the main street to the actual falls is laid out well with concrete steps that lead to a small rest house for visitors. There is also a bamboo bridge to cross the river. To reach Wahrashi Falls, you need to go to Syntung. There is a car parking zone from where the trek starts. The trek is very good as it has a well maintained path. You don't need to take a guide to visit this waterfall. There is a ticket charge of Rs 50 per person for adults & 20 for children.
Timings: 8 AM - 5 PM
