Know your HostMahatta Home Stay is located in the heart of the beautiful city of Srinagar. With easy; almost walkable access to the main shopping hub of Srinagar and within 4 KM radius of the Dal Lake, the Home Stay provides a perfect getaway. The B and B being in the midst of the city is still far, far away from the rush and hustle and bustle of Srinagar.
Mahatta Home Stay is run by the Mahatta family that has been in the business of photography in Kashmir since 1918.
We offer a bouquet of 14 rooms, out of which 6 are Deluxe Rooms (over looking the garden), 6 are Super Deluxe rooms and 2 rooms are Suites, all with attached bathrooms.
The Tariff for all the rooms includes Vegetarian Breakfast. A pure vegetarian Dinner can be ordered at least 8 hours in advance and is not included in the room tariff.
At Mahatta Home Stay, we have tried to maintain the ambience of living in a villa of Kashmir brought down from our generations who have been living in Kashmir since the beginning of the 19th century.

1. The hotel guest cannot hand over a room to third persons, even if the period for which the guest paid has not yet expired.
2. Persons who are not checked in the hotel may stay in a hotel room from 07:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. Persons staying in a room after 10:00 p.m. must check in the hotel.
3. The hotel may refuse to accept the guests who grossly violated the Hotel Rules and Regulations during the last stay by damaging the hotel's or guests' property or by inflicting damage on other guests, hotel employees or other persons staying in the hotel or in other way violated the stay of other guests or the functioning of the hotel.
4. The hotel accepts guests traveling with pets. Only one pet is allowed per room for an extra charge and the guest bears full responsibility for any damage caused by their pet. Pets must be leashed in common areas. Due to hygienic reasons, pets are not allowed in the hotel restaurant.
