About The Tour

The Hornbill Festival is a ten-day festival celebrated every year from the 1st to the 10th of December in Nagaland, India. It is one of the largest and most popular festivals in Northeast India, and is known for its vibrant displays of Naga culture and heritage. It is also known as “Festival of Festivals” as the event is organised by the State Government to showcase Nagaland’s rich and traditional cultural heritage in all its ethnicity, diversity and grandeur.

Day - 1

Meet and assist at Guwahati Airport, drive to Kaziranga National Park (a UNESCO heritage site, home to the World's famous one horned Rhinoceros & other exotic animals). Evening free for leisure & rest, stay at Kaziranga

Kaziranga to Kohima
Day - 2

Kaziranga to Kohima

You can opt for Elephant Safari or Jeep Safari in one of the zone inside the park (1 hr Elephant ride or 3hr Jeep Safari which starts from 6am onwards). Post breakfast Checkout and drive to Kohima. Stay at Kohima

Kohima to Viswema
Day - 3

Kohima to Viswema

Checkout late after a good rest at the homestay. Proceed to the starting point of the trek to Dzoukou Valley one of Nagaland's hidden gem which is a unique place for trekkers with spectacular views of the valley. Camp amidst the stars in Dzoukou Valley

Dzoukou to Khonoma/Kigwema
Day - 4

Dzoukou to Khonoma/Kigwema

Wake up early & adorned the lush greenery & rolling hills, walk around the valley and spent some quality time with nature. Post breakfast Checkout and bid Farwell to Dzoukou, trek your way back to the parking. Rest and relax at the homestay. Stay at Zakhama/Khonoma.

After breakfast we proceed for a guided tour visit to Khonoma village which is Asia's firsts green village & Dzuleke village, drive back to the homestay by evening. Stay at Zakhama/Khonoma
