About The Tour

Nestled amidst the pristine valleys and rising peaks of Himachal Pradesh, the Buran Ghati trek is a lovely off beat trek in Himachal where the crowds have not yet over-run the trails and one can experience some magical high altitude experiences with a relatively easy access to the base of this trek. It is a failry challenging trek and ideal for the regular trekker with a decen tlevel of fitness.

Tour Itinerary

Day - 1

Shimla to Janglik

Touchdown the hilly town of Shimla. Refresh, reload and head to Janglik. On the wheels through the beautiful winding roads and reach by dusk. Relax and get ready for the first leg of the hike tomorrow. Rest the night at one of the manicured farms of Janglik.

Day - 2

Janglik to Dayara

First day of the hike, our pitstops – Dayara. The trails and the campsite give umpty-ton of wonderful surprises of the greens like a painter's guilty wish. A starry night affair at one of three prettiest campsites, Dayara.

Day - 3

Dayara to Litham

Today, we spear to Litham, grazing(how I wish) the meadows & gushing streams of Dayara. We shall get a view at the spectacular Chandranahan waterfall. Crawl into the sleeping cucoons at Litham

Day - 4

Chandranahan lake

A tiny hike to the Chandranahan lake. Which is perennially fed by the snow flakes from the mountains. and back. Hit the sack at Litham

Day - 5

Litham to Dunda/Nalabansh

Tada ! Basecamp numero uno– Dunda. A power push to this place before we go for the hard yet rewarding Buran ghati pass.

Day - 6

Dunda to Manerang via Buran Ghati

An exciting day of the hike proceeding from Dunda. Climb through the snow fields to Buran ghati. And a surprising descent to a sudden green medows opening up to you. This is Baruva kand. Sing-song night in the with the Tribe.

Day - 7

Manerang to Burua to Sangla or Chitkul or head back to Shimla

Good morning ! A nice small hike to Baruva village and then head to Sangla and explore the apricot & peach orchards. A throwback at all that stories that brewed in this week & plans ahead.

Day - 8

Sangla to Shimla

Head to Shimla from Sangla. Trek ends here.
