Arrival in Chiang Mai

Travel: Fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (recommended – ~70 minutes, INR 4,500+)

Alternative Options:
- Overnight Bus (~10.5 hrs)
- Overnight Train (~12.5 hrs)

Activities:
- Check into hotel
- Explore the Old City on foot
- Visit Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh

  • Both temples are within walking distance. Monks at Wat Chedi Luang often engage in 'monk chats'
Chiang Mai Exploration
Day - 2

Chiang Mai Exploration

Activities:
- Day trip to Doi Suthep temple for panoramic city views
- Visit Elephant Nature Park or an ethical elephant sanctuary
- Stroll through Nimmanhaemin Road – cafés, boutiques, local vibes

Evening:

Day - 3

Travel: Drive or minivan (3–4 hours; scenic mountain route)

Activities:
- Check in and relax in the laid-back town of Pai
- Visit Pai Canyon at sunset

Explore Pai
Day - 4

Activities:-
Visit Hot Springs, Bamboo Bridge, and Land Split
- Optional: Tubing or motorbike ride through the countryside

Pai to Chiang Rai
Day - 5

Pai to Chiang Rai

Travel: Return to Chiang Mai, then onward to Chiang Rai (approx. 6 hrs total)
