Day - 1

Welcome by Senior Trek leader

Upon your arrival in Anini, we’ll begin the evening with a warm, hearty Tea at Brothers homestay to fuel you for the adventure ahead. Over tea, we’ll gather for an insightful trek briefing, where you'll learn about the unique journey awaiting you.
In this session, we’ll also introduce you to the rich cultural heritage of the Idu Mishmi community. We'll discuss traditional beliefs, guiding rules, and respectful practices that ensure harmony with the natural world around us. This grounding in local customs sets the tone for a respectful and immersive adventure through the sacred landscapes of Dibang Valley.

Depart from Anini to Emuli Village
Day - 2

Depart from Anini to Emuli Village

Our adventure kicks off with a departure from Anini at 11:30 am. After a scenic 45-minute drive, we’ll arrive at the quaint Emuli Village, the gateway to our trek. Emuli, with its picturesque charm and untouched surroundings, offers a perfect prelude to the breathtaking landscapes ahead. From here, our journey into the heart of the Dibang Valley officially begins!

After departing from Emuli Village, we begin our ascent towards Aniku Top, meaning "grassland" in the Idu dialect. This leg of the trek, taking about 4-5 hours, leads us through a variety of landscapes that showcase the pristine beauty of Dibang’s lush grasslands. Aniku’s trail offers a perfect blend of challenge and awe, ideal for acclimatizing to the elevation and immersing ourselves in the raw beauty around us. Remember to carry plenty of water and essential supplies, as this stretch has no water sources along the way

To Note:

Presence of the "Damdum/Kamu," a protective black fly in the Idu Mishmi dialect, guarding the forest against human intrusion. We use ODOMOS and Dettol as repellents, with Dettol proving highly effective. Our suggestion is to utilize lightweight cloth masks that cover the entire head, leaving only the eyes exposed for protection.

The steep, rocky terrain demands careful footing and a steady pace, but each step reveals an even more stunning view of Dibang’s pristine wilderness. (Lake 2). Departing at 12:30 noon, this leg is expected to take around 4 hours, leading us through formidable rocky landscapes. Our destination: a welcoming base camp outfitted with rustic wooden log huts, designed to provide trekkers a safe and blissful rest. Lake 3: known as Koyombo Lake, is an intriguing and unique destination of seven lakes trek. Despite being tired, a 30-minute walk is a manageable distance to reach this small yet captivating lake. While Koyombo Lake may be the smallest of the seven lakes, its charm lies not in size but in its distinctive characteristics. Take the time to appreciate the tranquil ambiance of the lake, observe the reflections on the water's surface, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Lake 4, Dini Lake, holds a special place in every trekker's heart as my favourite lake among the seven. Described as the largest and mighty. It's a testament to the power of nature and its ability to leave a lasting impression on our souls. I have a deep connection and appreciation for Dini Lake, suggesting that it has the potential to profoundly impact anyone who encounters it. The beauty lies in the personal connection, where the lake resonates with each individual on a soulful level, transcending any technological means of representation. In a world where we are often consumed by digital distractions, Dini Lake reminds us to embrace the present moment and immerse ourselves fully in the wonders of the natural world. It's a reminder that some experiences are best felt firsthand, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts and minds.

This lake holds a special reputation among hunters and has been reported to emit a glowing phenomenon during the night, particularly around midnight. It's intriguing to hear that our teammate, Ajadi, has witnessed this enchanting sight.
The glowing of Che~ne Lake adds an element of mysticism and wonder to its already captivating presence. The phenomenon could be attributed to various factors such as bioluminescent organisms in the water, unique geological formations, or other natural occurrences that create an ethereal glow. Via Chene Pass we reach lake 6&7. Lake 6 and Lake 7, collectively known as HUHU lakes, mark the final point of your adventurous journey through the seven lakes. you. Take some time to savor the moment, appreciating the journey you've undertaken and the remarkable landscapes you've explored.
