Our Senior trek leader will Receive you in Anini.

And then proceed for dinner and a briefing of the trek. This is important for you to get better aquatinted. 

Depart from Anini to Aniku
Day - 2

Depart from Anini to Aniku

Departure from Anini: The day begins with a normal departure from Anini at 11:30 am from Anini to the start point of the trek at Emuli Village, approximately 45 minutes away.

 

From Emuli, the trekking expedition will proceed towards Aniku (Means grasslands in Idu language) Top. This part of the trek may take around 4-5 hours, depending on the pace and conditions and it is essential to stay hydrated, carry necessary supplies, as there is no water source in between the trek. The day's schedule allows for acclimatization and enjoying the natural surroundings while gradually progressing towards the ultimate goal of completing the seven lake trek

To Note:

Presence of the "Damdum/Kamu," a protective black fly in the Idu Mishmi dialect, guarding the forest against human intrusion. We use ODOMOS and Dettol as repellents, with Dettol proving highly effective. Our suggestion is to utilize lightweight cloth masks that cover the entire head, leaving only the eyes exposed for protection.

Aniku village to Camp 2

The second day of the trek begins with an exciting journey through enchanting rainforests. The rainforest offers a unique ecosystem, abundant with diverse flora and fauna and many types of Mushrooms, orchids etc.

This day of the trek is estimated to take approximately 6 hours, considering the varying pace and conditions of the trail Camp 2 today at 11,000 feet is like a beautiful camping site nestled within a pine jungle. The slumpy terrain adds to the unique charm of the location. With a small stream nearby, it provides a convenient water source for campers.

Camp 2 - Lake 1
Day - 4

Camp 2 - Lake 1

Today’s trek take you from an elevation of 11,000 feet to 12,400 feet. The trek involves a steep climb through rocky terrain, and we will aim to leave at 7 am, to reach Lake 1 by 2-3 pm . This will be approximately a 6 hour hiking day.

As always, it's important to follow the guidance of experienced guides or authorities, especially during the steep climb and rocky terrain. Take breaks as needed, stay hydrated, and pace yourselves accordingly.

Lake 1, also known as Kahu Wu~ya Lake, offers a truly heavenly camping experience with its abundance of colorful flowers. The campsite filled with small yellow, purple, and white flowers creates a picturesque and serene atmosphere.

Day - 5

Lake 1 - Main base camp lake 2 (Emuh~ya Lake)

On Day 5 of the seven lakes trekking, your destination is the Main Base camp, which is located at Lake 2, also known as Emuh~ya Lake.

Your trek will commence at 7:30 am, and you can expect to reach the camp around 11 am, estimating a total trekking time of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The path to the Main Base camp takes you through rocky mountains, adding a challenging yet thrilling aspect to your journey.


 

Unveiling the Wooden Log Huts at Base Camp will be an awesome break after the past few days of tents!

The main base camp, located at Emuh~ya Lake, serves as the starting point for exploring the

remaining five lakes of the seven lakes trek. This campsite holds significance as it serves as a central hub from where you can venture out to discover the beauty of each lake.

Remember to follow only established trails and practice Leave No Trace principles to ensure minimal impact.

Explore Lake 3 & 4 

Lake 3: known as Koyombo Lake, is an intriguing and unique destination of seven lakes trek. Despite being tired, a 30-minute walk is a manageable distance to reach this small yet captivating lake. While Koyombo Lake may be the smallest of the seven lakes, its charm lies not in size but in its distinctive characteristics.

 

Lake 4: Dini Lake, holds a special place in every trekker's heart and is a team favourite among the seven. Described as the largest, Dini lake is truly a spectacle and does leave a lasting impression on those who visit it and this is the one where most end up spending some time taking in the sights.

Explore Lake 5, known as Che~ne Lake, also referred to as the mystical lake.

Explore Lake 5, known as Che~ne Lake, also referred to as the mystical lake.

On Day 6 of the seven lakes trek, you will encounter Lake 5, known as Che~ne Lake, also referred to as the mystical lake. This lake holds a special reputation among hunters and has been reported to emit a glowing phenomenon during the night, particularly around midnight. It's intriguing to hear that one of our teammate, Ajadi, has witnessed this enchanting sight. The glowing of Che~ne Lake adds an element of mysticism and wonder to its already captivating presence. The phenomenon could be attributed to various factors such as bioluminescent organisms in the water, unique geological formations, or other natural occurrences that create an ethereal glow. Via Chene Pass we reach lake 6&7. Lake 6&7 are together called Huhu Wuya: Lake 6 and Lake 7, collectively known as HUHU lakes, mark the final point of your adventurous journey through the seven lakes. This day will have a lengthy trek so make sure trek back as soon as possible to the base camp.

Returning day of The Seven lakes Summit Series, Arunachal Pradesh The trek from the main base camp to Camp 2 takes an estimated duration of 6 hours. Staying at Camp 2 provides various advantages, as it allows you to break up the trekking distance and comfort.

Back to Emuli Village
Day - 8

Back to Emuli Village

Post breakfast, it is time to begin your trek back towards Emuli village, which serves as the starting point of your return journey. The trek back will retrace the path you took previously, allowing you to revisit the landscapes and landmarks you encountered along the way.
