After Breakfast visiting most beautiful the Madhuri Lake also known as Sangetsar Lake, at an attitude of 12,000 ft above from sea level. The lake was featured in a Madhuri dixit (Bollywood actress) dance sequence in the movie Koyla, as a result of which it has come to be called the Madhuri Lake. The lake has been surrounded by wonderfully lush valleys, and snow- capped mountains. A leisure walk is the best way to explore the picturesque surroundings of the lake.
On the way Sangester lake, there is Teesri udassi Guru Nanak Dev ji Gurdwara Sahib. Guru Nanak Dev ji was great missionary and traveler par excellence. He travelled major portion of south Asia with his message of salvation. Notwithstanding the hardship of terrain and whetherhe visited Tibet twice once via passes through Himachal Pradesh & western Utter Pradesh and then again through Nepal, Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh. His travels in four different directions are known as ‘Udasis’. Here we get Guru ka Langar in free service like water, tea, sweets & biscuits etc.
Later we visiting The Bum La Pass in elevation of 4600m (15,200 feet). It is a border pass between China’s Cona county in Tibet and India’s Tawang district. It is also an agreed border personal meeting point for security forces of China and India. The road to Bum La is also a historical route, the people’s liberation army of China invaded India during the 1962 Sino Indian war.

After lunch, visiting Tawang monastery also known as the Golden Namgyal Lhatse. At the height of 3014m above sea level and it has been recognised as the second largest monastery in the world. Within the complex there are 65 residential buildings. The library and museum of the monastery has valuable old scriptures, certain rituals decorated human skull, and ancient tools etc.
And later visiting Tawang war Memorial. it is in the name of those brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice defending the frontiers of the Mother Land during 1962 Sino Indian conflict, dedicated to the nation.
And if time available we will be visiting Ngangpa natme (Buddha Park), the giant Buddha statue erected on the upper part of the Tawang town and its approx. 30 ft higher situated at elevation of 3100 m. This statue was consecrated by H.E Thegtse Rinpoche in the year of 2015. And also, there is 104-feet tall National flag at an altitude of 10,000 feet, it is the second – highest monumental National flag in the country in terms of altitude.
