About The Tour
The Hornbill Festival is a ten-day festival celebrated every year from the 1st to the 10th of December in Nagaland, India. It is one of the largest and most popular festivals in Northeast India, and is known for its vibrant displays of Naga culture and heritage. It is also known as “Festival of Festivals” as the event is organised by the State Government to showcase Nagaland’s rich and traditional cultural heritage in all its ethnicity, diversity and grandeur.
The festival is held at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, about 12 km from the state capital of Kohima. During the festival, visitors can experience a variety of Naga traditions, including traditional dances, music, food, and crafts. There are also a number of competitions and events held during the festival, such as a traditional Naga wrestling competition, a folk song competition, and a rock music contest.
