Tour Itinerary

Day - 1

Guwahati - Shillong

Arrival at Guwahati airport and drive to Shillong (Approx. 3.5 hours), the capital of Meghalaya. While Meghalaya is known as the “Abode of the Clouds”, Shillong is known as the “Scotland of the East”. On the way a short halt at Barapani lake for photo session and refreshments. The evenings are free for relaxation and walking around Police Bazaar and sampling the local cuisine and especially the street food of Shillong.
Driving time: approx. 3.5 hours depending on traffic.

Accommodation: Mid-Pine Homestay / JKR Residency.

Day - 2

Shillong - Sohra

Departure to Sohra. Visit Dainthlen Falls and spend some time exploring the area then take a short 15 min trek towards the famous Wei Sawdong Falls. (Both falls are 20 minutes away from the resort). Spend the rest of the evening relaxing on the green meadows near the small rivers of the resort areas.

Day - 3

Shillong - Mawlynnong

Early departure for Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia from Tyrna Village (Approx. 2 hours). Explore the village’s modest houses decorated with beautiful and bright flowers, Visit the Jingmaham Living Root Bridge and enjoy a beautiful view of the different rivers of Bangladesh from Observation Platforms made from bamboo. Weather and time permitting we shall visit the Mawlynnong Waterfall a hidden attraction not many tourists visit. Experience the traditional lifestyle and legendary tales of the khasi culture with an overnight stay at the family run guest house.

Day - 4

Mawlynnong - Mawmluh (Cherrapunjee Area)

Departure for the Krem Mawmluh Cave System at Mawmluh Village (Approx. 3 hours). With slippery surfaces, narrow openings, sharp rock edges and pool of deep water, this 7 Km long cave has a world of its own and to explore it, one requires courage. It’s a complete new world down there and if you manage this journey, you’ll be welcomed with some gorgeous calcite formations and sparkling rocks resembling diamonds. Following lunch we head on to the famous 7 sisters waterfall (Approx. 15 mins) and spend the night right next to the falls.

Day - 5

Sohra - Ri Bhoi

After 4 days of fun and adventure we give the body time to recharge by heading for Cafe Umbir located near the beautiful Umiam Lake. The day will be spent relaxing where you can take a quiet walk along the shores of the lake, enjoy a dip in the pool or have a relaxing boat ride across the serene lakeside.

Day - 6

Return To Guwahati Airport

After breakfast (Complimentary) at the 7 Sisters Waterfall View Inn transport to Guwahati airport (Approx. 4.5 hours).
End of tour.
