Latngenlang Homestay is located in Upper Shillong, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya and is about 12 kms from the City Centre. It is located amidst lush green surroundings with a view of the hills and grass meadows. The whole property is beautifully maintained. It's extremely cute and cozy. The location is very remote and all drivers will advise you to stay someplace else. It is probably not possible to get a homestay like this with such a great view in and around Police Bazaar or Laitumkrah. The property has wonderful rooms with comfortable beds and room heaters too if required. There are proper dressing areas with closest and side tables. The homestay is surrounded by a tranquil and serene countryside and offers exclusive privacy. It is about 500 metres from the road to Cherrapunjee and the road to Mawphlang Sacred Grove and Khasi Heritage village. Nearby Attractions: It is nearby the tourist destinations of Elephant Falls, Mattilang park, Sacred Grove Mawphlang, Eastern Air Command Museum, Mawkdok Bridge Viewpoint and Shillong Peak Viewpoint.
Food can be a problem in the property as the caretakers are not the best cooks. You have to order well in advance. But you can order food from nearby restaurants. There are 4 well appointed rooms, spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen and dining space, Please note that only 1 room has private bathroom inside the room. There are 2 more bathrooms available for the guest but they are not inside the rooms, So these bathrooms need to be shared by occupants of all other 3 rooms, If you stay there as a family unit than no problem to share the bathroom.

By Air
Shillong Airport, located 35 km away at Umroi, is a domestic airport that links the hill station with Kolkata via Air India regional flights. Another bigger and convenient airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Guwahati, which is approximately 130 km away from Shillong. There are regular flight options being offered by most of the major carriers such as AirAsia India, GoAir, Air India and Jet Airways from here for Delhi, Bagdogra, Imphal, Bangalore, Agartala, Kolkata, Silchar and Mumbai, to name a few destinations.
By Train
Guwahati Railway Station is the nearest railhead to Shillong, which is about 135 km away. The Guwahati Railway Station is well connected to major cities in India via an extensive rail network. Premium trains such as Rajdhani Express takes about 34 hours to reach Guwahati from New Delhi. From outside the station, travellers can hire a taxi or cab or take a bus to reach Shillong.
By Road
Transport Corporation (MTC) buses operate from Guwahati to Shillong. Depending upon their budget and requirement, travellers can choose from sleeper, air conditioned, luxury and Volvo buses. Travellers can also drive to Shillong from Guwahati via NH 40, a journey that takes around 3 to 4 hours to cover a distance of 135 km.
