Rustic Cottage

The Rustic Cottage is located in Tyrna about 12 kms (20 minutes) from Cherrapunji. The property has a rustic feel to it since most of the properties are wooden. The cottage are located a bit far away from the road so one needs to walk for a minute.

Parking lot is not available, but public parking is located 45 meters from the cottage. It is around 400 metres away from the double decker living root bridge - rainbow falls trek start point. For guests wanting to visit double decker living root bridge, this is one the best places to stay overnight and start the trek in the morning. The host Wanjop is really humble and accommodating. The best part about the cottage is that they are very accommodating for providing and packing pre breakfast for early trek as well as accommodating for keeping your luggage until your trek and also allowing us to use restroom after the trek. They also provide well maintained clean dorms for drivers. Overall a good place to stay.
