Softender Nest Homestay is a cozy stay option located in Pdengshnong, Cherrapunji(Sohra), East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. It is ideally located in central Sohra, making travel to nearby attractions quick and easy. The homestay is little upper side of the hill and 200 meters away from the nearby road, so it's better to call the owner before taking any turn from main road. He will send someone to guide you to his place. The views are stunning and on a clear day, you can even spot the distant plains of Bangladesh. Sometimes, the clouds drift right up to your balcony, creating a magical atmosphere. It is a very neat and clean homestay, with almost all amenities available; like room heater, electric kettle etc. Every room is equipped with attached bathroom, tea table, sofa, furnitures.
The host, Mr. Batista, and his family are incredibly warm and helpful throughout your stay. They cook homemade food for dinner or can even bring food for you from the local restaurant. They will try to help you in whatever way they can. A little off route but scenic and quiet place. If you're visiting Sohra, this homestay is a top choice.

From Guwahati approx. 150–170 km, 4–5 hrs, one can take a cab to Shillong and then onward to Cherrapunji.
