Cascade Homestay is a peaceful and scenic homestay located in Laitduh, Sohra, Cherrapunji Meghalaya. Surrounded by lush greenery, waterfalls, and misty hills, the property offers a cozy stay ideal for nature lovers and travelers exploring Meghalaya.

It has a breathtaking view of the hills and waterfall. Located in the quite village of Laitduh, this place is surrounded by greenery, peace, cattle roaming around and the sound of waterfall in the background. It is located very near to the Wei Sawdong waterfall. Even a few other waterfalls like Lyngksiar, Mawsawa, Janailar, Prut waterfalls are located nearby. You can see one of the best sunrises from the balcony and stargaze under the clear night sky.

They have two categories of rooms – standard and premium. Both rooms are similar amenities wise, only the premium rooms are a bit more spacious.
The USP of all the rooms is their back balcony – a huge sitting area directly facing the Dainthlen waterfalls. You can literally see the waterfall from your bed. You can sit for hours in the balcony and see the clouds coming in and going out. The room is spacious, clean and has all the basic necessities. Standing fan is provided. Electric kettle is provided with tea and coffee supplements. A cupboard is provided which has extra blankets, as Sohra can get pretty cold at night in some seasons. There is no TV or wifi available. Even mobile networks are limited – you will get fairly good network of Jio and to some extent Airtel. Washroom is also very clean, has a geyser and an exhaust fan.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an in-house kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The options are limited but delicious, home-style food. They do not have a dedicated dining area as of now, however they serve meals in the room.

They also provide accomodation for drivers. Overall, we would definitely recommend Cascade homestay for everyone looking for a peaceful quiet and picturesque stay in Cherrapunji away from the hustle bustle.
