While coming to NJP/Siliguri by taxi, you will need to take Sevoke Road (NH10) and go towards Teesta Bazaar. Along the way you will go past places like Kalijhora, Rambi bazaar etc. And before the Teesta bridge there is a sharp semicircular turn to the left starting an uphill journey.

How to Reach

Flight
By Air
To reach Tinchuley by flight, you can board a flight to Bagdogra Airport (Bagdogra to Tinchuley Distance 74.3 Km) from where rented car or shared car are available to Tinchuley via Teesta Bazar. From Teesta Bazar the distance is just 15 km.
Train
By Train
To reach Tinchuley village by train, you can board a train to New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP to Tinchuley Distance 70 Km). From the stations, you can book a private car or shared carwhich takes about two hours and a half to reach via Teesta Bazar. From Tista Bazar the distance is just 15 km.
Car
By Road
Occasional shared taxis/Jeeps are available from Bagdogra, NJP, Siliguri, Kalimpong, Gangtok to Tinchuley. The road via Teesta Bazar is the shortest. From Teesta Bazar, an obscure road with a steep ascent will take you to Tinchuley. From Tista Bazar the distance is just 15 km. Darjeeling to Tinchuley distance 32Km. It will take 1.5 hours from Darjeeling to Tinchuley by car. Kalimpong to Tinchuley Distance 30km. It will take about 1.5 hours from Kalimpong to Tinchuley by car. If you are not very comfortable with the steep ascent, you may take the alternative road through Rangli Rangliot Tea Garden and Takdah. Shared taxis/Jeeps are available from Siliguri to Takdah. From Takdah you will need to take a private taxi for a short drive up to Tinchuley. This road is especially suitable for anyone coming from Dooars or Siliguri. If you are travelling from the Darjeeling side, you will drive through Peshok road till the 6th Mile. Here take a right turn and follow the wooded road to reach Tinchuley via the Takdah cantonment area.
